Tax Year

In Florida, property taxes are collected on an annual basis by the Tax Collector’s Office.

The tax year runs from January through December, with the bills mailed on or about November 1st.

Property values are based on a January 1st date of assessment and are determined by the Property Appraiser’s Office.

As an example, the 2016 tax bills will be mailed October 30, 2016 and will reflect the property’s assessed value as of January 1, 2016.
